Seduce me. is a new evangelistic outreach event that is the collaborative effort of two separate ministries, BraveHearts and Women Stand Up! Specially designed to appeal to mixed college audiences, Seduce me. addresses the key issues facing college men and women today through the power of personal story. Here’s a quick overview of some of the main features of this powerful campus evangelism event.
A man’s and woman’s perspective shared on stage
From the very beginning, audiences can tell Seduce me. is unique. Michael and Christine Leahy take the stage together to tell their compelling redemptive stories, sharing both a man’s and woman’s perspective on the major issues and seductive forces that affected their lives.
Using a dramatic yet honest approach to personal storytelling, they engage their audiences by weaving their separate but parallel journeys until they intersect, exposing each others weaknesses and greatest fears about relationships and intimacy. In the end, both discover an immutable truth that not only binds them closer together, but also sets them free.
Addresses felt needs relevant to college students
“What’s seducing you?” That’s the big question Michael and Christine ask as they unpack the underlying needs and related issues they faced and overcame on their journeys, including: porn and sex addiction, bullying, depression and anxiety disorder, father abandonment, body image issues, drug abuse, compulsive serial dating, divorce, sexual assault and date rape, and abortion. Together, their stories touch the personal lives of every student, faculty and staff.
Proven evangelistic track record
Michael Leahy, BraveHearts founder and “Porn Nation” creator and presenter, has built a long and successful track record as one of Campus Crusade’s most requested evangelistic speakers. Over the past seven years, he has produced over 200 campus evangelism events and shared the Gospel with over 70,000 college students, faculty and staff.
Seduce me. is the realization of a longstanding dream of Michael’s to one day share the stage with a woman who’s powerful testimony and passion for evangelism could compliment his own. That way, women would finally have a voice and be represented equally in BraveHearts awareness and evangelistic events. That woman is Christine Leahy, his wife of four years.
Follow-up events that change lives
An integral part of Secuce me. are the follow up events and activities we have planned. Based on seven years of experience as evangelistic partners with Campus Crusade, BraveHearts and Women Stand Up! are providing an a la carte menu of next day follow-up events and activities. It’s all bundled with Seduce me. and offered at no additional cost (except for an extra day of travel expenses).
Possible events range from our being guest speakers at your weekly meeting to conducting separate “For Men Only” and “For Women Only” training or Q&A sessions. Possible activities range from offering free counseling sessions for staff and students, to holding public discussion group sessions on campus, to being guest lecturers in a class or speaking at a gathering of faculty or staff. Or maybe we would better serve you speaking at a ministry fundraising luncheon, or meet one-on-one with a major ministry supporter or couple. The choice is up to you, at no additional cost.
