BraveHearts Family Conference Objectives
The BraveHearts Family Conference is a collaborative effort of two separate ministries, BraveHearts and Women Stand Up! We’re helping parents, church and ministry leaders restore sexual integrity in families, the church and culture. Here’s a quick overview of the BraveHearts Family Conference objectives:
Learn how to protect and prepare our children to face the battle for sexual purity
Porn is now the norm. We’ve entered the era of the sexualized child, and no one’s kids are exempt – not even in the church. So what’s a parent to do? And how should church and ministry leaders respond? These are some of the questions the BraveHearts Family Conference aims to answer.
Michael and Christine Leahy are experienced warriors in the battle for sexual integrity, and they offer parents and church leaders real hope by teaching them a combination of biblical principles and proven strategies for prevention and restoration that they can in turn use to teach those they love and lead.
Learn how to discuss sexual purity and healthy sexuality with those we love and lead
One of the primary objectives of the BraveHearts Family Conference is to model authenticity and “break the ice” for parents, church and ministry leaders, allowing them to begin to have lifelong, age appropriate conversations about sexual integrity and personal purity with those they love and lead.
In the BraveHearts Family Conference, attendees will learn the 7 Essentials for Creating Lifelong Conversations About Sex, and will receive additional information on best practices in their BraveHearts Family Conference Resource Guide.
Learn how to stay sexually pure and develop sexual integrity in our own lives
As parents, leaders, and teachers of the next generation, we all know how important it is that we practice what we preach. So another key objective of the BraveHearts Family Conference is to share strategies and best practices regarding how we can stay sexually pure and develop habits of sexual integrity that will be an everyday, living example for those we love and lead.
Learn how to forgive, help and rebuild trust with those who struggle with sexual purity
We recognize the issues and challenges facing parents and adults when it comes to dealing with sexual temptation and sexual sin in our own lives. Whether it’s the sins of the past or present, things we’ve done or things others have done to us, the guilt, shame, and pain of sexual sin has the potential to silence us all and cripple our ability to be used by God.
To close out the BraveHearts Family Conference, attendees will learn about practical steps they can take to heal broken relationships and learn how to forgive, help and rebuild trust with those we’ve hurt and those who have hurt us. They will hear a message of hope and restoration born out of personal brokenness and the first hand experience of those who have traveled that journey before them.
