Michael: Just read your article on ADHD and sexual addiction. My husband was diagnosed in his mid-30’s. He went on medication and was very angry back then about the diagnosis and about taking the medication. But it helped–at least on the surface level. He decided after a while to go off the med’s. During that time frame he became addicted to porn on a greater level. In the past 3-4 years he decided to go back on the med’s. He saw a difference at work and his focus was better overall. But when you don’t deal with the real issues and real problems of your past, the medication masks what is really going on. This my point of reference in dealing with my husband’s sexual addiction. One day he MUST come to terms with his addiction or he will lose in a big way. My asking or trying to make him do the real work is out of my control. It is totally in God’s hands. I am spending my time these days doing the work on me and doing what is best to heal. Keep up the good work and keep the faith!
